Installation And Mounting
The JAYCEEBOOT can be installed outside the container by making a hole on the wall, so that the membrane remains exposed to the product inside. Suspended by means of a tube, it can be also installed inside the container. Using adaptors, it can be installed in pipes and conduits.
Wherever possible level switch should be mounted on vertical surfaces. By this means, the product can flow free downwards, and wrong indications are avoided. It can be mounted on surfaces with a slope of not more than 30 degrees from vertical, provided that the product leaves the membrane thoroughly free when flowing along. If maximum levels are to be controlled, the devices must be mounted at such a height that the product overflowing the membrane can exert pressure on this membrane, working the microswitch.
Efficient Water Level DetectionOur Boot Level Switch is engineered to deliver quick and accurate detection of liquid levels in tanks, boots, or similar containers. The micro-switch mechanism, combined with a durable float assembly, ensures consistent performance across various water management systems. Its IP65 rating secures reliable operation in challenging environments.
Durable Build for Demanding ApplicationsManufactured from high-impact polypropylene, the switch withstands temperatures from -10C to 80C and humidity up to 95% RH non-condensing. Its solid build and panel mount design guarantee longevity and stability, even in frequent use, aided by a mechanical life of up to 1,000,000 cycles.
Flexible and Safe InstallationWith a convenient cable entry option (PG13.5 or customized) and a standard 2-meter wire, installation is straightforward for a range of setups. The devices insulation resistance of 100 M at 500V DC and a maximum voltage of 230V provide essential safety for various automated liquid detection tasks.
FAQs of Boot Level Switches:
Q: How does the Boot Level Switch detect liquid levels in tanks or boots?
A: The Boot Level Switch uses a float mechanism with a 90 mm diameter, which rises and falls with the liquid level. This movement activates the internal micro-switch, enabling accurate detection and signaling when the preset water level is reached.
Q: What is the recommended usage environment for this level switch?
A: This switch is designed for use in environments with temperatures from -10C to 80C and relative humidity up to 95% non-condensing. It is suitable for boot water detection, industrial tanks, and other liquid management systems due to its IP65 protection and robust polypropylene housing.
Q: When should I choose the customized cable entry option?
A: Select the customized cable entry when project-specific requirements demand non-standard cable glands or varying entry points. The standard PG13.5 entry suits most applications, but customization ensures compatibility with different installation scenarios.
Q: Where is this Boot Level Switch typically installed?
A: It is panel-mounted regularly inside or on the exterior of tanks, boots, or reservoirs for water or liquid level monitoring. The 2-meter wire allows flexible positioning relative to your control system or automation setup.
Q: What are the advantages of using a silver alloy contact in the switch?
A: Silver alloy contacts provide superior conductivity and resistance to wear, enabling reliable operation at high voltages (up to 230V) and currents (up to 10A). They support more stable performance and extended mechanical life (1,000,000 cycles) in demanding applications.
Q: How does the switch enhance process automation in water management systems?
A: By offering automatic liquid level detection with an SPDT circuit, this switch enables seamless integration with pumps or alarms. Its rapid response time (<20 ms) ensures timely action, improving efficiency and safety in automated systems.
